Peer Review Process

Vidyodaya Journal of Management follows a Double Blind peer-review process. First, the Co-Editors do the ‘Desk Review’ and check whether the manuscript is aligned with the scope of the journal, structure of the manuscript, and the extent of the scholarship of the manuscript. Then, two reviewers are assigning in relation to the area of expertise and/or methodological expertise. To be a reviewer of VJM, the reviewer should have a doctoral qualification and considerable level of publication history. Upon the consent of the reviewer, the manuscript (which is anonymous) is sent to the reviewer with a review letter which includes the review guidelines and a review form. A maximum of two months will be provided to each reviewer with several reminders. Upon receipt of both reviewers’ review comments, if both reviewers accept the manuscript (with major/miner) revisions, the editors directly send them to the corresponding author for corrections. If one reviewer rejects while the other accepts, a fresh reviewer will be appointed for the final decision. It is obvious that the paper will be rejected if both reviewers recommend rejection. Depending upon the severity of the corrections to be done, a fair time is allowed for the corresponding author to resubmission after corrections. The co-editors check the corrections and defense by the authors for the items which were not corrected as suggested by the reviewers. Then each finalized paper will be sent to the editorial assistant of the journal for formatting and language proof reading.
